How Do You Actually Price Per Value?

Earlier this week @Yuki Kakegawa posed a question in the #Pricing Discussions space.

The gist was asking when it makes sense to price per value vs when does it not. The challenge I find with technical work is that it can be infinite. You can always write a better program, improve your query or put together an improved data model.

The key I find when it comes to pricing per value is you need to have clearly packaged services. Below is a diagram of some example services you might offer. In said services you need to be very clear what the deliverables and outcomes will be and what you won’t be delivering.

If you’re interested in learning more about pricing per value and how to develop your own packages that will be one of the many things we focus on during the 4-Week Consulting Mastery Program I will be running in January. So feel free to check it out and see if you’d be interested! Also, do comment below if you have any questions!
